Incident: Man Arrested for Bank Robbery
Location: TD Bank, 251 East Main Street, Patchogue
Date/Time: Saturday, March 16, 2019 at approximately 1:15 p.m

Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for robbing a Patchogue bank this afternoon.


Jawan Davenport entered TD Bank, located at 251 East Main St. on March 16, at approximately 1:15 p.m.  Davenport approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied and Davenport fled in a silver Nissan Sentra.


Fifth Precinct officers responded and Officer Bryan Lawrence located and arrested Davenport a short time later.


Davenport, 26, of 723 McDonald Avenue, Bellport was charged with Robbery 3rd Degree.


Davenport will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 17.




A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
