Incident: Man Arrested for Stabbing Acquaintance

Suffolk County Police today arrested an Islip Terrace man for stabbing an acquaintance early this morning.


Two men were involved in an argument in an apartment located at 100 Ronkonkoma Ave. in Ronkonkoma when one man stabbed the other multiple times at approximately 3:05 a.m.


The victim, 39, who lives in the apartment, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.           


Following an investigation by police, the suspect, Sean Rose, was located at 16 Weeks Ave. in Central Islip. Fourth Squad detectives charged Rose, 29, of 118 Carleton Ave., with Assault 1st Degree.


Rose will be held overnight for arraignment on March 12 at First District Court in Central Islip.


A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
