Incident: Man Arrested for DWI Following Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash
Location: Northbound William Floyd Parkway, just south of Rose Executive Boulevard, Shirley
Date/Time: Sunday, January 12, 2020 at approximately 4 a.m.

Suffolk County Police today arrested a Bellport man for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Shirley early this morning.


Jordan Randolph was driving a 2014 Cadillac northbound on William Floyd Parkway when his vehicle rear-ended a 2015 Ford just south of Rose Executive Boulevard at approximately 4 a.m.


The driver of the Ford, Jonathan Armand Flores-Maldonado, 27, of Westhampton Beach, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.


Randolph, 40, of 63 Beaver Dam Road, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries. Randolph was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.


Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
