Incident: Man Arrested for Driving with 68 License Suspensions
Location: Albany Avenue, near Bayview Avenue, North Amityville
Date/Time: Friday, January 11, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m

Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for driving with 68 license suspensions in North Amityville.


Louis Carr Jr. was driving a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser southbound on Albany Avenue, near Bayview Avenue, when First Precinct officers initiated a traffic stop for failure to signal. A check on Carr’s license revealed it had been suspended 68 times.


Carr Jr., 63, of 162 Carleton Avenue, East Islip, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, a felony.


Carr Jr. will be held overnight at the First Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on January 12.
