Incident: Man Arrested for Blue Point Robbery
Location: 7-Eleven, 49 Montauk Highway, Blue Point, New York
Date/Time: Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 3:33 a.m.

Suffolk County Police arrested a man for a robbery that occurred early this morning in Blue Point.


A man, armed with a knife, entered 7-Eleven, located at 49 Montauk Highway, at 3:33 a.m. and demanded cash. The robber then took the cash and fled.


The suspect was located nearby by Canine Section Officer Stephen McSweeney and his dog McClane. Joseph Arcuri, 31, of Blue Point was placed under arrest and charged with Robbery 1st Degree. He is scheduled for arraignment today at First District Court in Central Islip.


A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
