Incident: Man Arrested for Driving with 28 License Suspensions
Location: Little East Neck Road at the intersection of Gordon Avenue, West Babylon
Date/Time: Friday, January 4, 2019 at approximately 3:45 p.m.
 
 

Suffolk County Police today arrested an East Islip man for driving with 28 license suspensions.

 

Matthew Zaroba was driving a 2008 black Mercedes Benz, westbound, on Little East Neck Road, West Babylon, with extremely dark tinted windows, no front license plate and an expired inspection, when First Precinct Patrol officers initiated a traffic stop. An investigation revealed Zaroba did not have a New York State driver’s license and his New York State identification card was suspended 28 times.

 

Zaroba, 51, of East Islip was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, a Class E Felony and was also issued summonses for unlicensed operator, no front plate, switched license plates, illegally tinted windows, and operating an unregistered, uninsured and uninspected vehicle.

 

 

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
