Incident: Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash

Major Case Unit detectives believe the vehicle possibly involved in the fatal crash that occurred on November 19 on Second Avenue in Brentwood, may be a black 2017 or 2018 Kia Soul.

 

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Major Unit at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood early this morning.

 

Fredy Rivera-Bravo was crossing Second Avenue, near 7th Street, when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene at approximately 3:15 a.m. Rivera-Bravo, 56, of 105 Westwood Drive, Brentwood, was transported to Southside Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
