Incident: Man Robs Mastic Bank for Second Time in Two Days
Location: HSBC, 1718 Montauk Highway, Mastic, New York
Date/Time: Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at approximately 12:30

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at a Mastic bank today, committed by the same person who robbed the location yesterday.


A man entered HSBC, located at 1718 Montauk Highway, at approximately 12:30 p.m., approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer.  The suspect fled the bank on foot and was last seen heading eastbound on Montauk Highway.


Detectives have updated the suspect’s description as a black man, in his late teens. In the second robbery, he was wearing a blue and black hooded sweatshirt with ripped jeans and sneakers.


The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Major Case Unit detectives at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
