Date/Time: Monday, February 12, 2018 at 12:15 p.m.

Suffolk County Police arrested three males who robbed a delivery man in West Babylon.

A 34-year-old man was delivering food for Jackie Chan’s Kitchen in Wyandanch to 114 Westchester Ave. when three males approached him outside the residence and held him to the ground on February 12 at 12:15 p.m.  The men stole cash and a cell phone from the victim’s pockets and fled in his vehicle, a Toyota Rav 4.

A short time later, the Toyota was involved in a crash on the Southern State Parkway near Bethpage Parkway. Following the crash, the occupants fled the scene. A passing motorist, who observed the crash and stopped to assist, observed the suspects flee into the woods. The motorist chased them on foot and called 911, eventually losing sight of them. Nassau County Police officers located the three in the yard of a home on Intervale Avenue in Farmingdale.

Kamondre Dekattu, 17, of 1677 President St., Brooklyn, Marlon Rigueur, 16, 2020 East 41st St., Brooklyn, and a juvenile were each charged with two counts of Robbery 2nd Degree. Dekattu and Rigueur were scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip today.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
