Incident: Man Set Multiple Fires, Burglarized and Robbed Businesses
Location: Wyandanch and Deer Park

Suffolk County Police First Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating multiple fires, a burglary and an attempted robbery, committed by the same person, in Wyandanch and Deer Park early this morning.

 

A man intentionally set fire to a vehicle on Long Island Avenue in Wyandanch at 2:54 a.m., a fence on Grand Boulevard in Wyandanch at 3:53 a.m., a boat on Lake Avenue in Deer Park at 4:12 a.m., a flag on West 22nd Street in Deer Park and a flag on Grand Boulevard in Deer Park 6:33 a.m.

 

The suspect burglarized and set fire at a business, located at 10 Station Drive in Wyandanch, at 3:19 a.m. A short time later, he attempted to rob an employee at, and set fire to, Sunoco, located at 1580 Straight Path in Wyandanch, at 3:22 a.m.
