Incident: Woman Arrested for DWI following Motor Vehicle Crash

Date/Time: Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 12:00 a.m.
 
 

Suffolk County Police arrested a Ronkonkoma woman for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash in Coram early this morning.

 

Marta Garcia Ochoa was driving a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on Route 112, at the intersection of Middle Country Road, when she lost control of the vehicle causing it to crash and flip over at 12 a.m. There were no injuries.

 

Garcia Ochoa, 31, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Previous Conviction in 10 Years, Use of a Vehicle without Interlock Device Installed and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree. She is being held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip in the morning.

 

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
